ESRO Food Group selects Geerlofs to design and build CO2 system

Esro, a family company based in the South of The Netherlands, is a specialist in beef, veal and seafood. Whether it is beef shreds, swordfish or veal cheeks, all products have a constant high quality and the company is among others BRC Food certificated. With several locations, own freezer stores with over 10.000 pallet places, shock freezers and plate freezers the company has modern facilities and up to date technology. The main location in Nuenen will be expanded and will consist out of nine air conditioned process areas and three new cold stores which will be cooled through the new to build refrigeration system.

Go Consulting (Deventer, The Netherlands) made a smart specification for the central CO2 transcritical system. It fits perfectly with the Esro company strategy and their focus on environmental friendly solutions. Geerlofs Refrigeration will deliver a system with four CO2 (R744) compressors one of which will be frequency controlled. The evaporators will be executed in stainless steel for hygiene purposes and equipped with hinged drip trays for easy cleaning. With the Geerlofs Gispro® control the system is managed intelligently to reduce energy further and it displays a wealth of information needed to guard quality of the products of Esro and the technical status of the refrigeration system. Geerlofs will start construction in March 2017.
